Associate Therapist

About My Approach

My approach is strengths-based and relational. Depending on my client’s needs, I draw from several therapeutic approaches including Internal Family Systems Therapy (for cultivating more self-awareness and self-compassion), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (to explore how thoughts, emotions, and behaviors influence one another and lead to change), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (for developing skills to ground and guide us), and Family-based Treatment (to empower families to recover from eating disorders). I bring curiosity and humility to my work, along with a deep sense of hope that each client and family will experience the change and healing they desire.

My own experience and my clients’ has taught me that having a healthy relationship with food and our bodies gives us the energy to become a fuller, more creative version of ourselves. When we expand our identities beyond what Diet Culture expects, we can increase our connection to the neglected parts of ourselves and deepen our relationships. I feel grateful for the transformation I’ve experienced and for my work as a therapist supporting others.

Training and Clinical Experience

I completed my graduate studies in counseling psychology at the Wright Institute. In addition to working at Cypress Wellness Collective, I have worked as a therapist at The Healthy Teen Project, a partial hospitalization clinic serving teens with eating disorders. As a graduate student, I trained as a school counselor, supporting children’s self-expression and healing through trauma-informed play and expressive arts therapies. In both settings, I experienced how bringing families together in session played a pivotal role in improving their relationships, and the health and functioning of the teens and children. Prior to graduate school, I worked as a certified nutrition educator to moms and families during the perinatal period and led the nutrition workshops for Kaiser Permanente’s Employee Wellness Program. I am also certified as an Intuitive Eating Coach.
