Our Philosophy

Cypress symbolizes everlasting life. Cypress trees can be found along the Pacific Coastline, standing tall and resilient against the powerful winds. As a an embodiment of life and death, the cypress tree stands between both worlds, literally and figuratively. It is with existential wisdom and resilience that we can create a meaningful and beautiful life.

OUR VISION + VALUES

Here at Cypress Wellness Collective, we believe in creating a healing environment for our clients and team so that all can thrive. We believe in giving back to our community and increasing our impact through mission driven advocacy, offering holistic wellness services, and leading from the heart.

Our mission is to help our clients experience holistic wellness: mind, body, soul. We believe in the power of shared humanity in healing and invite loved ones to join the healing process.

Our vision is to eliminate mental health stigma by creating awareness of, appreciation for, and acceptance of mental health self care.

We are committed to social justice, including ant-racism, anti-sizeism. We are dedicated to providing services to individuals and families that are accessible, culturally relevant, and free of stigma.

Here at Cypress Wellness Collective, we celebrate and affirm all backgrounds, identities, and body shapes and sizes.

Mental Health Treatment is often challenging; we want to make it easier for you. We will curate treatment recommendations for you based on your needs. Our holistic mental health care is all in one place for you and your entire family, with the option of having virtual services if preferred.

At Cypress, our offerings cater to teens, adults, and families. We may recommend having a combination of services to have the best possible outcome. We know how important it is that everyone is on the same page in order for progress to be made; we take a collaborative approach with you in developing your treatment plan and checking in throughout the process to ensure that your goals are being met.

Our Nutrition Approach.

At Cypress Wellness Collective, we believe that true wellbeing does not include counting calories and restrictive diets. How can we live a fulfilling and embodied life if we’re controlling nutrition based on numbers or arbitrary goals? We believe in the power of the mind-body-spirit connection and finding balance between all three aspects of the self to promote healing. Our nutrition counseling services, adapted from Intuitive Eating principles, are designed to help you build a healthy relationship with food, achieve your wellness goals, and cultivate a positive mindset towards nourishment.

Our approach includes:

  • Experienced Professionals: Our team of Registered Dietitians is dedicated to helping you achieve your goals with evidence-based care.

  • Holistic Approach: We consider the whole picture, addressing not only what you eat but also the lifestyle and psychological factors that contribute to your well-being.

  • Non-Diet Philosophy: Say goodbye to diets and hello to a sustainable, enjoyable approach to nutrition and embodied living.

  • Intuitive Eating principles: Learn to honor your hunger, respect your body, and release yourself from negative body image and food rules that hold you back.

  • Health at Every Size ® (HAES) Informed Care: Health at Every Size approach means that we focus on holistic health through the lens of behavior change and body respect. We recognize that health is multifactorial and not just based on weight. We do not promote weight loss; instead we promote individualized behavior change to promote health, disease prevention, and longevity.

  • Individualized Support: We understand that everyone is unique, and our services are tailored to meet your specific needs and preferences.

Our Therapy Approach.

Therapy is a powerful, collaborative process that can help individuals and families overcome challenges, build resilience, and move toward meaningful change. Whether you're navigating anxiety, depression, disordered eating, relational struggles, or major life transitions, therapy offers a structured and supportive space to understand yourself more deeply, develop new coping skills, and create a more fulfilling life.

Therapy at Cypress Wellness Collective begins with connection. We start by listening—really listening—to your story, your concerns, and your hopes. From there, we work together to clarify your goals and identify what’s getting in the way. You can expect a warm, respectful, and goal-oriented environment, where progress is paced to match your readiness and needs.

Because no two people or families are alike, our treatment plans are not one-size-fits-all. Our clinical approach is tailored to best meet your individual circumstances, whether that includes the age or stage of life you're in, the challenges you're facing, your personal or family history, or the unique strengths you bring into the room. The treatment modality is chosen thoughtfully by your therapist, based on a combination of your goals, your preferences, and their clinical expertise.

What remains consistent across all of our work is our commitment to using evidence-based treatments—approaches that are backed by rigorous research and have been shown to be effective for the concerns we treat. This ensures that while our methods may vary to meet your needs, they are always grounded in science and clinical integrity.

The evidence-based treatments we use include:
